Favors Received

The subject of "Canonization" is one we do not frequently discuss.  Here, we talk about Favors. "What does that mean"?

Simply, it means that in prayer, you asked Nonco to help you with a matter that was very important to you. Many ask for Nonco to help intercede to Our Lord to cure an illness.  We believe that Nonco is capable of interceding for you for such help, no matter what you ask of Him.

We encourage you to report any Favors received through the intercession of Nonco.

You may wonder?  What will be required of me if I do report a Favor?

The following are the questions you will be asked:
Questionnaire for the Person Cured

Specific Questions you will be asked:
  1. Do you have a written statement that you want to present?  If so, was it written by you and is everything stated in it true?
  2. Is it true that you have been cured?
  3. Please explain briefly your illness and what happened? Did you think that you would die?  Please explain.
  4. Did you pray to Auguste “Nonco” Pelafigue for a cure?
  5. When did you realize that you were getting better?  Please explain.
  6. Do you believe that your cure is through the intercession of Auguste “Nonco” Pelafigue?  Why?
  7. How has this changed your life? How has the cure affected your life of faith and prayer?
  8. Do you wish to say anything else?

My name is Betty Ann Taylor Richard. I was born and raised in Arnaudville. My parents were Welzie and Anna Schexnayder Taylor. The last home I can remember was on Ti-Adam Guidry Road on the corner where there use to be a big oak tree that grew in the middle of the lane. I remember pretty well when Nonco would appear at our house. He usually had his hat on and also his dog. Sometimes, he would carry his dog because his little dog would get tired. Usually, we would sit on the end of the porch and he would visit and talk about the leaflet that he would give us. Yes, today, we all wish we would have paid more attention to him and have shown him more thankfulness. I wish I would have; but, when you are young, you don't think that way. I hope all that the people are doing in Arnaudville will be successful and Nonco will be canonized. It would be wonderful. Thank you! P.S.: My little brother is Henry Charles Taylor, the Nonco Foundation Treasurer.
