"Growing
up and having gone to Little Flower School, I was well aware of the
stature Nonco had. He would visit our home often, especially after I had
a sister that past at a very young age. Nonco would visit my mother to
help her find peace after losing her young daughter. My mother had been a
devoted Catholic but when my little sister died, and the talk around
town was that she had died of Spinal Meningitis, the society of the
church did not allow the casket into church. My mom gave up on the
church; but Nonco, never gave up on her to come back to the church. He
is truly a saint if ever there was one and Arnaudville is blessed to
have had him walk the streets. I, for one, am blessed and will forever be
grateful that I had the pleasure of knowing such a great man."
