His Excellency The Most Reverend John Douglas Deshotel, Bishop of the Diocese of Lafayette, celebrated the Nonco Memorial French Mass on June 10, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, Arnaudville, Louisiana. The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is actually on June 8th in 2018.

The Nonco Foundation was formed in 2012 to work on the Beatification and Canonization of Nonco. Each year in honor of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Anniversary of Nonco's Death, which was on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the date of the forming of the non-profit foundation, June 6, 2012, a French Mass is celebrated at St. John Francis Regis Church.

The Nonco Foundation is grateful to Pastor of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, Reverend Travis Abadie, for his help and support.  Thank you also to Father John Gary Schexnayder, native of Arnaudville, who concelebrated Mass.  Deacon Ken Arnaud assisted.  Thank you to all.

  • ​Nonco Memorial French Mass 2017

    In 2017, on June 25th, the Nonco Foundation was honored to have His Excellency, The Most Reverend Douglas Deshotel, Bishop of the Diocese of Lafayette celebrate the Nonco Memorial French Mass.  Reverend Father Keenan Brown, then Pastor of St. John Francis Regis Church in Arnaudville concelebrated the French Mass as this was Nonco's native language and the first language of many of the Arnaudville residents. A reception followed in the Little Flower Auditorium were Nonco's plays were held. The event was very well attended.  Prayer cards were distributed.  Thank you to all who attended.

    Everyone who has been attending the Nonco Memorial French Masses since 2013 agree that 2017 was the best! First, His Excellency Douglas Deshotel, Bishop of the Diocese of Lafayette celebrated a beautiful French Mass.  We are grateful.
